Tegucigalpa Resource Center

This is a picture of Marjorie Palmer and I.  We were friends in 1st grade when we both attended school in Raytown the year my family moved to New York.  Years later, in 2000, we reconnected at Graceland when we were both finishing our teaching degrees.  We lost track of each other again until just recently through Friends United. Marjorie's sister, Paulette Baker, has volunteered with Friends United for the last 26 years.

Sunday evening we were invited to the beautiful home of Bessy Morales.  We had a delicious authentic meal and a wonderful visit.  Bessy is the director of Friends United Honduras.  She is one of our most valuable resources.  I don't think we could do what we do without her.  Beautiful woman!

Bessy runs the resource center that Friends United set up in Tegucigalpa.  She also holds workshops for teachers here.
