I haven't even left and this trip is already proving to be an education. Yesterday as I was packing, and repacking, our four 50 lb suitcases I decided it would be fun to do some kind of blog so that the Trailridge Elementary students and staff could see what happens with all the great supplies they donated.  My problem was, I'd never made a blog and wasn't sure how to go about it.  I was pretty sure I was going to have to wait until I went over to Lee's Summit West this afternoon to work on getting ready for summer camps and could get some high school help.  Usually my husband Michael is my go to tech person but he's been busy putting together powerpoints for the NXT camps and I didn't want to bother him.

I finished up packing sooner than I thought I would and when I got home from school I decided to look around on Google and see what I could find out about blogs.  It turned out to be much easier than I thought and hardly took any time at all. I am pleased with the results.  I LOVE learning how to do new things!!!  I've already started to get some ideas on how I can use this new skill in the classroom and in FIRST LEGO League next year! Yeah!

I'm pretty sure I've got everything I personally need for the trip. I've picked up my anti-malaria pills and an antibiotic in case I get sick.  I've got tummy medicine too...just in case I get Montezuma's Revenge! I've got my little carry-on semi-packed with clothes (at least I know what clothes I want to bring and I made sure they all fit) and we have a ride to the airport at 4:00 a.m. Friday morning.  So glad Bryan and Brittany's travel plans coincided with ours! Hope I don't forget anything important!

I'm so excited about this trip, but first I get to teach a week of NXT camp with Nancy Spatz and the Lee's Summit West Team Titanium Robotics Team!  I'm super excited about camp too and disappointed that I'm going to miss the last day because that's tournament day!

Only five days to go and I'll be in Honduras!  I can't wait!
