San Pedro Sula

When we got to San Pedro Sula, we stopped at a store that is comparable to Costco or Sam's Club to pick up some shelving units for the new resource center we are setting up in Tela.  Unlike our wholesale clubs, this one has a guard tower complete with armed guard. San Pedro Sula is know as the manufacturing center of Honduras so the economy is a little better here.

The view from the balcony of our room at the Grand Hotel Sula.  Needless to say, I didn't stay out here for long.  It gave me the willies.  I do not like heights.  We were on the eighth floor.

Another balcony view. The rooms at this hotel were a little nicer than Santa Barbara.

This church was just down the street from our hotel.  It was simple, but beautiful.

Inside the church.

We saw armed military and security everywhere.  We were very careful while we were here.  Last year Bessy had her earring yanked right out of her ear.
